Chechen State University is one of the oldest Higher Educational Institutions in the city of Grozny. Chechen State University was established in 1938 as a Teacher Training Institute by Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. On September 1, 1938 Teachers Training Institute was transformed into the Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute with a four-year training period. At that time the Institute had philological, historical, physical and mathematical faculties. In 1956 the Institute opened the Faculty of Physical Education, in 1958 it opened the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Methods of primary education, in 1960 the faculty of natural geography was opened, in 1962 – the faculty of Foreign Languages. In 1971 the Institute was transformed into the Chechen-Ingush State University. In 1980 the University already had 8 faculties. In 1990 Chechen-Ingush State University opened the Medical Faculty. On 28 February 1995 the Chechen-Ingush State University was renamed into Chechen State University. In 1997 Chechen State University opened the Agro-technological faculty. In November 1997 the Urus-Martan Correspondence Department of the Chechen State University was opened. On May 6, 2003 University was declared under the name of State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Chechen State University”. Today Chechen State University has 72 departments and 13 faculties. Chechen State University has 814 teachers, including 55 doctors, professors, 236 candidates of sciences. Today Chechen State university has trained almost 20,000 students. Chechen State University has its own botanical garden, zoological museum, historical museum, a library with 5 service departments, subscriptions and reading rooms, and a catering plant.

Irkutsk National Research Technical University was opened in May 1930 in Irkutsk city as the Siberian Mining Institute, to begin training for the gold mining industry. In 1938 Irkutsk State Technical University was renamed as an Mining and Metallurgy Institute and in 1960 Irkutsk State Technical University became the Polytechnic Institute. In 1950 the basis of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute began training engineers and opened new departments: Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Technology, Engineering, Geological Survey. In 1970 there were 8 faculties of the Institute which trained specialists in 39 profiles. On the left bank of ANGARA river Institute built a town with large academic buildings, dormitories and stadiums. Institute became the largest university in Irkutsk. In June 1978 the first edition of Architects was made by the department of architectural design. Rector (Prof) SB Leonov played a major role in the development of the university. In the 1990s, the Irkutsk State Technical University organized new humanities faculties and in 1993 received the status of a technical university. Irkutsk State Technical University became the largest university in Eastern Siberia, which enrolled more than 15,000 students. In Irkutsk State Technical University students are citizens of the Russian Federation and from more than 18 countries. Today Irkutsk National Research Technical University has more than 100 departments.
Pskov still preserves much of its medieval walls, built from the 13th century. Its medieval citadel is called either the Krom or the Kremlin. Within its walls the 256-foot-tall (78 m) Trinity Cathedral rises, founded in 1138 and rebuilt in the 1690s. Pskov is exceedingly rich in tiny, squat, picturesque churches, dating mainly from the 15th and the 16th centuries. On 7 July 2019, the Churches of the Pskov School of Architecture was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University is one of the leading scientific, educational, informational, social and cultural Universities in Nalchik city of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Russian Federation. Kabardino-Balkarian State University annually produces about two thousand specialists. Kabardino-Balkarian State University was formed in 1957 in Nalchik on the basis of Pedagogical college. On its 50th anniversary Kabardino-Balkarian State University received the Certificate of Merit and Medal from the State Duma for its outstanding services and achievements. In 2008, the Kabardino-Balkarian State University was enlisted in the 100 best universities in Russia. In 2010, Kabardino-Balkarian State University received an honorary diploma of the winner of the All-Russian contest “100 Best Universities of Russia in the field of science and education”. Currently Kabardino-Balkarian State University operates the university complex as a new type of school, which combines different levels of educational institutions, implementing educational programs of higher, secondary, post-graduate and additional professional education. Today Kabardino-Balkarian State University holds the 11th place among classical universities in Russia. Currently Kabardino-Balkarian State University has 67 departments with the teaching staff of 870 highly qualified teachers, where 1800 students get trained every year. Till now Kabardino-Balkarian State University has trained 14500 students.

Many foreign and Russian political and public figures, scholars and scientists have become RUDN Emeritus Professors. They include the presidents of Namibia, Angola, Sri Lanka, the South African Republic, Gabon, Guyana and Nigeria; the prime ministers of Bangladesh and Kazakhstan; a UN Chief Executive Officer on Education, Culture and Science; and a Director of CEPES.

Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University is a public university in the city of Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic (Russia). With over 9,000 full-time students and more than 600 faculty members, it is the largest institution of higher education in the Komi Republic.

It is a Russian federal state-owned higher education institution based in Saint Petersburg. It is considered to be the oldest and one of the largest universities in Russia. The university has a reputation for having educated the majority of Russia’s political elite, including presidents Vladimir Putin and Dimitry Medvedev, both of whom studied Law at the university. It has 24 faculties and institutes which are further subdivided into departments, and other main structural subdivisions, including the Sports Department, Rectorate, Gorky Scientific Library, Academic Gymnasium, publishing house, and clinic. Belgorod State University is one of the oldest universities of Belgorod and the largest university of the Belgorod region. Belgorod State University was established in 1876 as a pedagogical institute. In 1919 Belgorod Pedagogical Institute was converted into Belgorod Pedagogical Institute and in 1920 – Belgorod Institute of Education. In 1923, the Belgorod Institute of Education was reorganized into Pedagogical College which in 1939 was converted into Belgorod State Pedagogical Institute. In 1967, the Belgorod State Pedagogical Institute was named after MS Olminskogo. In 1994, the Belgorod State Pedagogical Institute named after MS Olminskogo renamed into Belgorod State Pedagogical University named after M. Olminskogo. In July 1996, Belgorod State Pedagogical University named after M. Olminskogo, Faculty of Financial and Economic Institute of the Russian State Committee for Higher Education and the Medical College of Belgorod in Belgorod region became one university which is today known as Belgorod State University. In the national ranking of universities Belgorod State University holds 37th place among the best 100 universities. Today Belgorod State University has 25 thousand students from 85 regions of Russia, 1800 foreign students from 76 countries, 72 institutes and faculty, 2 branches, 98 departments and 74 research centers and laboratories.

Adyghe State University history dates back to 1940, when the city of Maikop, opened Teachers’ Institute, which became in 1952 Adyghe Pedagogical Institute, and in 1993 – State University. The opening of the university marked the beginning of higher education in Adygea, creating the necessary conditions for the emergence of other educational and research institutions in the region.

Bashkir State University is a classic university in the city of Ufa of the Russian Federation which is also considered to be the first institution of Bashkortostan and one of the founders of the Association of Russian classical universities. Bashkir State University was established in 1909 as Ufa Teacher Training Institute, which in 1919 Ufa Teacher Training Institute was transformed into Ufa Institute of Education. In 1929 Ufa Institute of Education was established as Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute. In 1857 Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute received the state university status and became Bashkir State University. More than 100 years Bashkir State University has prepared highly qualified specialists for the different areas of the economy. In recent years Bashkir State University has become a major center for postgraduate education, which successfully operates in 67 post-graduate and doctoral studies in 10 scientific specialties. At present Bashkir State University consists of 14 faculties , 4 institutes, as well as branches in the cities of Sibai , Sterlitamak , Neftekamsk and in Uchaly. The educational process in Bashkir State University is carried out in 105 departments under 1000 teachers, including 161 PhD, 477 candidates of sciences, 111 professors, 283 associate professors.
