Chechen State University is one of the oldest Higher Educational Institutions in the city of Grozny. Chechen State University was established in 1938 as a Teacher Training Institute by Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. On September 1, 1938 Teachers Training Institute was transformed into the Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute with a four-year training period. At that time the Institute had philological, historical, physical and mathematical faculties. In 1956 the Institute opened the Faculty of Physical Education, in 1958 it opened the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Methods of primary education, in 1960 the faculty of natural geography was opened, in 1962 – the faculty of Foreign Languages. In 1971 the Institute was transformed into the Chechen-Ingush State University. In 1980 the University already had 8 faculties. In 1990 Chechen-Ingush State University opened the Medical Faculty. On 28 February 1995 the Chechen-Ingush State University was renamed into Chechen State University. In 1997 Chechen State University opened the Agro-technological faculty. In November 1997 the Urus-Martan Correspondence Department of the Chechen State University was opened. On May 6, 2003 University was declared under the name of State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Chechen State University”. Today Chechen State University has 72 departments and 13 faculties. Chechen State University has 814 teachers, including 55 doctors, professors, 236 candidates of sciences. Today Chechen State university has trained almost 20,000 students.  Chechen State University has its own botanical garden, zoological museum, historical museum, a library with 5 service departments, subscriptions and reading rooms, and a catering plant.

Irkutsk National Research Technical University was opened in May 1930 in Irkutsk city as the Siberian Mining Institute, to begin training for the gold mining industry. In 1938 Irkutsk State Technical University was renamed as an Mining and Metallurgy Institute and in 1960 Irkutsk State Technical University became the Polytechnic Institute. In 1950 the basis of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute began training engineers and opened new departments: Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Technology, Engineering, Geological Survey. In 1970 there were 8 faculties of the Institute which trained specialists in 39 profiles. On the left bank of ANGARA river Institute built a town with large academic buildings, dormitories and stadiums. Institute became the largest university in Irkutsk. In June 1978 the first edition of Architects was made by the department of architectural design. Rector (Prof) SB Leonov played a major role in the development of the university. In the 1990s, the Irkutsk State Technical University organized new humanities faculties and in 1993 received the status of a technical university. Irkutsk State Technical University became the largest university in Eastern Siberia, which enrolled more than 15,000 students. In Irkutsk State Technical University students are citizens of the Russian Federation and from more than 18 countries. Today Irkutsk National Research Technical University has more than 100 departments.

Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University is a public university in the city of Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic (Russia). With over 9,000 full-time students and more than 600 faculty members, it is the largest institution of higher education in the Komi Republic.

During World War II Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University was evacuated to Ufa city, where after some time Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University transformed into Ufa Aviation Institute. New aviation university in Rybinsk was opened on the 25th of May in 1955 as an evening Aviation Technology Institute with two faculties – Aircraft Mechanics and Technology.

It is a public university located in Grozny, Chechen Republic, Russia. Grozny State Oil Technical University (GSOTU) was founded in 1920 as the Higher Petroleum Technical School, consisting of eight divisions, two of which were higher. The first graduation of engineers took place in 1925. In 1929, the school acquired the status of a university of union importance. By the mid-1980s, the scientific-pedagogical and material-technical potential of the institute made it possible to conduct training in almost all specialties of the technological cycle of oil and gas production. Grozny State Oil Technical University is forming its own scientific schools, known not only in the country, but also abroad. The scientists of the institute were engaged in fundamental developments in the field of oil and gas geology and geophysics, drilling and development of oil and gas wells, oil refining and petrochemistry, thermal physics, and construction. Over its history, Grozny State Oil Technical University has trained more than 50,000 specialists for various sectors of the country’s economy. Among the graduates of the institute are five Heroes of Socialist Labor, ministers of the petrochemical and oil refining industries of the USSR. At present, the material and technical base of the institute consists of buildings that meet the requirements and standards of the educational process, equipped with language laboratories, computer classes, and modern educational laboratories. There are 30 laboratories and 15 computer classes in all faculties of the institute. Since 2006, an information and computing center. The issue of intra-university publications is carried out by the publishing and printing center of the institute. The library of the institute is equipped with the necessary technical means for storing and issuing books. Today, the general book fund of the institute is about 250,000 copies. The educational process at the university is carried out by about 550 teachers, including 15 doctors of science, 70 candidates of science, 30 professors, 75 associate professors. Of the 37 departments of the institute, 22 are graduates who train specialists in 32 specialties. The institute trains about 6,500 students, including more than 3,500 full-time students. Over the past five years, the institute has graduated more than 3,000 specialists, 150 of whom received diplomas with honors.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University is one of the leading scientific, educational, informational, social and cultural Universities in Nalchik city of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Russian Federation. Kabardino-Balkarian State University annually produces about two thousand specialists. Kabardino-Balkarian State University was formed in 1957 in Nalchik on the basis of Pedagogical college. On its 50th anniversary Kabardino-Balkarian State University received the Certificate of Merit and Medal from the State Duma for its outstanding services and achievements. In 2008, the Kabardino-Balkarian State University was enlisted in the 100 best universities in Russia. In 2010, Kabardino-Balkarian State University received an honorary diploma of the winner of the All-Russian contest “100 Best Universities of Russia in the field of science and education”. Currently Kabardino-Balkarian State University operates the university complex as a new type of school, which combines different levels of educational institutions, implementing educational programs of higher, secondary, post-graduate and additional professional education. Today Kabardino-Balkarian State University holds the 11th place among classical universities in Russia. Currently Kabardino-Balkarian State University has 67 departments with the teaching staff of 870 highly qualified teachers, where 1800 students get trained every year. Till now Kabardino-Balkarian State University has trained 14500 students.

Many foreign and Russian political and public figures, scholars and scientists have become RUDN Emeritus Professors. They include the presidents of Namibia, Angola, Sri Lanka, the South African Republic, Gabon, Guyana and Nigeria; the prime ministers of Bangladesh and Kazakhstan; a UN Chief Executive Officer on Education, Culture and Science; and a Director of CEPES.

State Maritime Academy named after Admiral Ushakov is the largest institution of water transport and the only institution of higher education in the South of Russia. State Maritime Academy was established in 1975 in Novorossiysk city. State Maritime Academy prepares specialists for the civil and commercial fleet. At present State Maritime Academy has 7 faculties, 36 departments. The teaching staff of State Maritime Academy has more than 300 teachers. Among them are 29 doctors and professors , 198 candidates of sciences and associate professors. Today State Maritime Academy trains more than 4 thousand students. During its existence State Maritime Academy has trained more than 20,000 professionals.

Pskov still preserves much of its medieval walls, built from the 13th century. Its medieval citadel is called either the Krom or the Kremlin. Within its walls the 256-foot-tall (78 m) Trinity Cathedral rises, founded in 1138 and rebuilt in the 1690s. Pskov is exceedingly rich in tiny, squat, picturesque churches, dating mainly from the 15th and the 16th centuries. On 7 July 2019, the Churches of the Pskov School of Architecture was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It is a Russian federal state-owned higher education institution based in Saint Petersburg. It is considered to be the oldest and one of the largest universities in Russia. The university has a reputation for having educated the majority of Russia’s political elite, including presidents Vladimir Putin and Dimitry Medvedev, both of whom studied Law at the university. Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation is the oldest Russian institution for training of flight crews for civil aviation. Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation has two branches Krasnokutsky Flight School of Civil Aviation and Sasovo Flight School of Civil Aviation. Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation was established in 1935 in Bataysk city – a small town near Rostov-on-Don. In 1939 Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation was moved to Ulyanovsk city. Today in Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation the initial training of pilots is conducted on the aircraft F-1 , F-2 , and higher training is carried out on aircraft ANT-9 , ANT-4 , SB , SS-84. At present Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation has 4 faculties, 16 departments and teaching staff of 250 professionals. Every year Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation trains 1500 specialists. During all this time Ulyanovsk Higher Education School of Civil Aviation has trained over 15600 specialists and pilots.

Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G Shukhov (BSTU) is one of higher educational establishments in Russia, which has been training students for 50 years in the field of construction industry. It was founded as a basic institution of building materials. According to the result of the rating of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the University holds the first position among architectural institutions of Russia. According to the results of monitoring of Russian higher educational establishments, conducted by «Business Russia», Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Kaliningrad State Technical University is a higher educational University in Kaliningrad city of the Russian Federation. Komsomolsk-na-Amur State Technical University is a higher education institution in the city of Komsomolsk-na-Amur. Komsomolsk-na-Amur State Technical University was established in 1955. Komsomolsk-na-Amur State Technical University provides training in 58 educational programs for Bachelors, Masters and Postgraduate education. Today Komsomolsk-na-Amur State Technical University comprises 9 faculties, 48 departments, 3 institutes and a branch in the village of Busan. At present Komsomolsk-na-Amur State Technical University enrolls 4500 students who are being trained under the pedagogical staff of 780 skilled teachers and researchers. Kuban State Technical University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the Kuban and the North Caucasus. Kuban State Technical University was founded in 1918 as the North Caucasian Polytechnic Institute. Over the years Kuban State Technical University has repeatedly changed the name, in 1919 Kuban Polytechnic Institute, in 1923 Kuban Agricultural Institute and 1930 North-Caucasian Institute of Food Industry. In 1943 North-Caucasian Institute of Food Industry was united with Krasnodar Institute of Food Industry, on the basis of which in 1963 Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute was created. In November 1993, the Institute received university status and was renamed Kuban State Technical University. Currently Kuban State Technical University enrolls 6700 students within Russia and 21 foreign countries. Since formation Kuban State Technical University has trained 28000 professionals. Kuban State Technical University has 12 faculties, 56 departments and a teaching staff of 1400 skilled teachers.

Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K.G Razumovsky is a higher educational institution in Moscow city, the Russian Federation. Moscow State University of Technology and Management was established in 1953. Moscow State University of Technology and Management formerly known as All-Union Correspondence Institute of Food Industry, Moscow State Correspondence Institute of Food Industry, Moscow State Technological Academy, in 2004 Moscow State University of Technology and Management. In 2010 Moscow State University of Technology and Management changed into Moscow State University of Technology and Management name K.G Razumovsky. Today Moscow State University of Technology and Management prepares specialists in economic, technological, mechanical, biological and humanitarian profiles for the food processing industry. Currently Moscow State University of Technology and Management has 11 faculties, 57 departments and staff of 980 skilled teachers. Every year Moscow State University of Technology and Management enrolls 2500 students. During all this time period Moscow State University of Technology and Management has trained 31000 professionals.

South Russian State Technical University (NPI) has made a significant contribution to the development of engineering education in Russia, having trained more than 150 thousand experts. Currently the SRSPU (NPI) basic activities are the large-scale fundamental and applied scientific researches, innovative technologies aimed at training the highly qualified engineering personnel corresponding to strategic problems of the government in ensuring transition from the resource economy to the economy of innovative type.

The history of creation of FSBEE HPE “DGTU” dates back to 24 January 1970, when the Council of Ministers of the USSR enacted by-law on the organization of Dagestan State Polytechnic Institute. By order No 330 of the Minister of Higher and Specialized Secondary Education of the RSFSR of 17 August 1971 the structure of Dagestan State Polytechnic Institute, list of departments, laboratories, and classrooms as well as the consultative body of the Institute were confirmed, and by order No 71 of the RSFSR Ministry of Higher Schools of 24 February 1971 all the organizational issues were settled up, and in 1972 the institute was set up. Mechanical, Instrument-Making, Building and Technological faculties were considered to form the structure of the Institute.
