Chechen State University is one of the oldest Higher Educational Institutions in the city of Grozny. Chechen State University was established in 1938 as a Teacher Training Institute by Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. On September 1, 1938 Teachers Training Institute was transformed into the Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute with a four-year training period. At that time the Institute had philological, historical, physical and mathematical faculties. In 1956 the Institute opened the Faculty of Physical Education, in 1958 it opened the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Methods of primary education, in 1960 the faculty of natural geography was opened, in 1962 – the faculty of Foreign Languages. In 1971 the Institute was transformed into the Chechen-Ingush State University. In 1980 the University already had 8 faculties. In 1990 Chechen-Ingush State University opened the Medical Faculty. On 28 February 1995 the Chechen-Ingush State University was renamed into Chechen State University. In 1997 Chechen State University opened the Agro-technological faculty. In November 1997 the Urus-Martan Correspondence Department of the Chechen State University was opened. On May 6, 2003 University was declared under the name of State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Chechen State University”. Today Chechen State University has 72 departments and 13 faculties. Chechen State University has 814 teachers, including 55 doctors, professors, 236 candidates of sciences. Today Chechen State university has trained almost 20,000 students.  Chechen State University has its own botanical garden, zoological museum, historical museum, a library with 5 service departments, subscriptions and reading rooms, and a catering plant.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University is one of the leading scientific, educational, informational, social and cultural Universities in Nalchik city of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Russian Federation. Kabardino-Balkarian State University annually produces about two thousand specialists. Kabardino-Balkarian State University was formed in 1957 in Nalchik on the basis of Pedagogical college. On its 50th anniversary Kabardino-Balkarian State University received the Certificate of Merit and Medal from the State Duma for its outstanding services and achievements. In 2008, the Kabardino-Balkarian State University was enlisted in the 100 best universities in Russia. In 2010, Kabardino-Balkarian State University received an honorary diploma of the winner of the All-Russian contest “100 Best Universities of Russia in the field of science and education”. Currently Kabardino-Balkarian State University operates the university complex as a new type of school, which combines different levels of educational institutions, implementing educational programs of higher, secondary, post-graduate and additional professional education. Today Kabardino-Balkarian State University holds the 11th place among classical universities in Russia. Currently Kabardino-Balkarian State University has 67 departments with the teaching staff of 870 highly qualified teachers, where 1800 students get trained every year. Till now Kabardino-Balkarian State University has trained 14500 students.

Pskov still preserves much of its medieval walls, built from the 13th century. Its medieval citadel is called either the Krom or the Kremlin. Within its walls the 256-foot-tall (78 m) Trinity Cathedral rises, founded in 1138 and rebuilt in the 1690s. Pskov is exceedingly rich in tiny, squat, picturesque churches, dating mainly from the 15th and the 16th centuries. On 7 July 2019, the Churches of the Pskov School of Architecture was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Many foreign and Russian political and public figures, scholars and scientists have become RUDN Emeritus Professors. They include the presidents of Namibia, Angola, Sri Lanka, the South African Republic, Gabon, Guyana and Nigeria; the prime ministers of Bangladesh and Kazakhstan; a UN Chief Executive Officer on Education, Culture and Science; and a Director of CEPES.

Rostov State Institute of Architecture is a state educational institution of federal subordination. It was established in 1988 on the basis of the Faculty of Architecture of Rostov Civil Engineering Institute. This institute introduced architecture in 1944 and trained engineers-architects. These specialists took part in the reconstruction of the cities and towns of South Russia after World War II. Within this period of time about 5,000 architects were trained. They work now in all parts of Russia and abroad — in European, Near Eastern, African and Asian countries. The Russian graduates are the heads of Architectural and Urban Development Committees of the cities and towns of Russia, the directors of research institutes, the teachers of higher schools. Among them are the state and regional prize winners.
