Voronezh State Medical Academy was organized in 1918 as a medical faculty of Voronezh State University. In 1930 the medical faculty of Voronezh State University became the independent Voronezh Medical Institute. In 1994 Voronezh Medical Institute received the status of academy. Today Voronezh State Medical Academy provides education programs in higher, medium, vocational and postgraduate education. The structure of Voronezh State Medical Academy consists of 5 faculties, 63 departments, 3 Institute, 3 Research Institute and 2 clinics.
