Vladivostok State Medical University

Vladivostok State Medical University is one of the leading centers of medical science in the Far East of the Russian Federation. Vladivostok State Medical University is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan in Vladivostok. Vladivostok State Medical University was established in 1956 as a Far Eastern State University faculty of medicine. In the first academic year 110 students were enrolled in the faculty. In 1958 faculty of medicine was isolated from the Far Eastern State University and transformed into the Vladivostok State Medical Institute. In 1995 the Institute received university status and Certificate of state accreditation. On January 1, 2013 the university was renamed into the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Pacific State Medical University”.Today 315 doctors, professors and teachers work in 53 departments of Pacific State Medical University. Till now over 6500 students have been trained in Pacific State Medical University.
