Rostov State Medical University

Rostov State Medical University is a higher education institution, the largest basic training, research and treatment center in the city of Rostov-on-Don of southern Russia. Rostov State Medical University was established in 1915 as a medical faculty of Warsaw based Russian University. In 1925 medical faculty transformed into medical school, and later into the Rostov State Medical Institute. In 1994 Rostov State Medical Institute was transformed into Rostov State Medical University. The Rostov State Medical University operates 91 departments, which employs over 800 people faculty members, including more than 130 doctors, professors, 500 candidates of sciences. Currently, the Rostov State Medical University has 6 faculties with more than 7,000 students. Since 1925 there are 32000 students who have been trained by Rostov State Medical University.
