Kuban State Technological University

Kuban State Technical University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the Kuban and the North Caucasus. Kuban State Technical University was founded in 1918 as the North Caucasian Polytechnic Institute. Over the years Kuban State Technical University has repeatedly changed the name, in 1919 Kuban Polytechnic Institute, in 1923 Kuban Agricultural Institute and 1930 North-Caucasian Institute of Food Industry. In 1943 North-Caucasian Institute of Food Industry was united with Krasnodar Institute of Food Industry, on the basis of which in 1963 Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute was created. In November 1993, the Institute received university status and was renamed Kuban State Technical University. Currently Kuban State Technical University enrolls 6700 students within Russia and 21 foreign countries. Since formation Kuban State Technical University has trained 28000 professionals. Kuban State Technical University has 12 faculties, 56 departments and a teaching staff of 1400 skilled teachers.
