Ufa State Aviation Technical University is the leading and largest technical university city of Ufa and Bashkortostan. Ufa State Aviation Technical University is the center of Russian science and culture. Ufa State Aviation Technical University is one of the oldest universities in the Ufa region. University is organized in 1932 as Rybinsk Aviation Institute, later in 1942 Rybinsk Aviation Institute was installed in a permanent location in Ufa as Ufa Aviation Institute named after Ordzhonikidze. In 1992 Ufa Aviation Institute was renamed into Ufa State Aviation Technical University. In 2003 Ufa State Aviation Technical University changed into Ufa State Aviation Technical University. Today training in Ufa State Aviation Technical University is carried out in 61 departments and 25 directions in the field of aviation and aerospace engineering, automation and control, engineering and metalworking, Instrumentation, radio and communications, Applied Mathematics, information and computer technology, Economics and Management. At present Ufa State Aviation Technical University has 750 skilled teachers who train 4500 students. Since the formation Ufa State Aviation Technical University has trained over 28000 students.
